The vinyl trend is definitely staying with us during the coming autumn/winter season. I love how shiny leather (or pvc) can turn a simple outfit into a real head-turner. I actually hunted down Acne’s Jensen boots in patent leather a few days ago and can’t wait to wear them with jeans and chunky knits.

Having said that, I think vinyl looks best when it’s part of a simple, relaxed look (say, a vinyl coat paired with a hoodie or vinyl trousers paired with worn Converse sneakers). A vinyl trench coat worn with a skirt and high heels can, unfortunately, give the wrong impression.
