I’d feel naked if I ever left the house without my carefully selected – and personal favourite – pieces of jewellery I wear every day. Which is why I thought it’s time for another round of a jewellery edit.

Voilà a selection of outstanding – and quite affordable – adornments. I never leave the house without jewellery. For me, jewellery is an essential part of an outfit and it’s what makes a look personal. What I wear every day: necklaces, several bracelets and – on most days – a stack

of small silver rings. The newest addition to my ever-growing collection: the “My Own Summer” chain ring by the Berlin based label I need more rings. All of their rings are custom made.

If you have been reading this blog for a while, you might know that I foster a big love for simple designs with an edge. So naturally Scandinavia is my design heaven! Take the young jewellery designer Trine Tuxen, for instance. I fell in love with her new jewellery collection the minute I saw it – especially with the logo silver necklace that you can also see in this editorial here. As much as I love delicate jewellery, I also have a thing for silver studs. (I wear my 1988 stud earrings every day and I still regret not keeping my studded belt from teenage days). My favourite luxury version of studded jewellery, the Hermès “Collier de chien” bracelet, turns my eyes into little hearts every time I see it. Unfortunately, it’s very pricy and there are always long waiting lists for it. … You can’t imagine (or maybe you can?) how happy I was when, one day, I saw the “Médor Twilly studs” online. They are designed to be worn with a Twilly silk scarf, but you can also wear them as a bracelet. The silver ones were sold out in Germany but a friend was so nice to get them for me in London. Have you heard of the brand Vanities? Thomas Franc and Vincent Ribat founded it in 2009 and their bracelets, hand-carved bone skulls on fabric strips, made the brand rapidly popular in the fashion world. Colette sometimes has them in stock (currently there are some on sale). As you might know I love skull bracelets (you can see my other ones here, here and here) and every thing that looks like it was collected on travels around the world – so obviously I fell in love with the Vanities designs at once. The idea is actually pretty simple, so if you know how to carve a skull and have a piece of fabric you can just make them yourself.

I love my turquoise Yves Saint Laurent “Arty ring” (it was still Yves Saint Laurent when I bought it – and it was sold out almost everywhere), my initial doubts wether it might merely be a temporary trend piece ended in smoke. It’s a modern classic! And, believe it or not, you can currently get it for 50%/60% off in the Net-a-Porter sale. In red, turquoise, and blue. Hurry hurry.

Perfect addition to my mini star necklace: round silver plate by Vanrycke. I love her “Petites Ames” collection (I think I’ll have to save up for a mini diamond necklace). On the above photo I am wearing: leather jacket by Balenciaga, shirt by Zara and vintage belt.

Usually I don’t wear large earrings but this one from Maria Black’s “Eclectic Avenue” collection is so special. Love the edgy look!
