Maybe you’ve seen it on instagram – a few days before Christmas I made myself an extravagant gift. I’d had this particular Saint Laurent bag on my mind for a while, but sadly they did not make it with silver hardware anymore (and I usually favour silver). I had done my research on it, I had checked all stores, I had searched all digital marketplaces without success. Suddenly in December, the bag – black leather, silver hardware – popped up at Mytheresa! You can imagine my excitement. But still, and even though I had sold another bag so I could afford this purchase and justify it to myself, I hesitated because of the Saint Laurent price tag. Eventually (maybe because it was Christmas and I felt like treating myself) I did it: I clicked the “buy” button. And ever since I had this bag in my hands I never regretted getting it. Which proves that sometimes things are worth the wait, and – I’d like to believe – maybe also that it’s okay to treat yourself if it makes you really happy.
I think the bag is a modern classic and I hope I can keep and wear it for many many years.
(By the way, when I had a look at Mytheresa again so I could give you the direct link to the bag, I noticed that it’s already sold out again. But you can still get in with gold hardware).
