SAINT LAURENT BANDANA BAG AND DIY-TIE-DYE

Even though I am generally trying not to buy too many things – and even though I generally believe that I have everything I need – sometimes love at first sight strikes me like a lightning bolt. When I saw this bag in the Saint Laurent boutique I just knew it was perfect for me. (I actually missed the Chanel bandana bags a few years ago, but dreamed of them ever since.) Well, last Friday I decided to get this bag for me – and it is making me so happy!

In the background of the above photo you can see a tie-dye T-Shirt I made myself a few weeks ago, during the DIY-tie-dye-session I had at my home with a friend. I am obsessed with tie-dye shirts, sweaters and hoodies at the moment. They’re so much fun! And I am already planning a second tie-dye-party with friends.

BAROQUE PEARLS

How beautiful is this baroque pearl necklace by Sophie by Sophie? I have been a fan of her classic, yet modern designs for years and this necklace is definitely a new favourite piece in my jewellery box! Every baroque pearl is unique – I like to look at them as the rebels among the pearls.

The golden signet ring in the above photo is by Maria Black. I absolutely love it and I wear it almost every day. Such a cool piece that really upgrades every outfit! I think Maria Black is making amazing tough and cool, but equally elegant signet rings – this one is great, too.

DIPTYQUE CANDLES

Even though spring is coming closer (when it’s sunny it seems like it’s almost here!), February is still a good month to lighten candles and to enjoy cosy evenings at home (I got hooked on “Sex Education” on Netflix this week and finished watching it last night).
My favourite scented candles are by Diptyque – I’m a big fan of their classics like “Figuier” and “Baies”, but I also love their limited editions and special collections, like the candle “La Prouveresse”, which comes in a beautiful handmade porcelain pot.

COCONUT BATHS

… and speaking of cosy evenings at home: I am addicted to the “Coconut Milk Bath Soak” by Herbivore (via Niche Beauty). It smells so so good – a mixture of coconut and vanilla –, like the best dessert I can imagine. … It’s kind of hard not to eat it. Haha! It’s also quite moisturizing, so it’s a real treat for your body and skin during winter!

HEALTHY WAFFLES

Buying a waffle iron was one of the best decisions I made last year. (It’s the simple things, eh?) Since then I have been perfecting my recipe for healthy waffles every other weekend. I really like this recipe by Heavenlynn Healthy, which I have slightly adapted for my own waffles (I always use oats, wholegrain flour, bananas, oat milk, no sugar, coconut oil for the waffle iron and loads of yummy toppings. I haven’t figured out how to make waffles without eggs yet, my vegan waffles never turned out right, but I’m working on it …)

BLACK AND WHITE INTERIOR TREASURES

The very talented artist and illustrator Ralf Nietmann drew this Picasso-inspired postcard and gave it to me as a gift. It will always remind me to stay optimistic whenever I look at it.

The vintage Fornasetti tray I found in an antique shop in Hamburg. I think it had been waiting for me. The candles are by Diptyque and Bella Freud; and the ceramic shell is by Frances Castelloe.

HAIR CLIPS

This Copenhagen trend got me all of a sudden! Glitter hair clips by Pico (via Hello Love and Mili Store) and “Love” clip by Pico for Edited.

NEW PIERCING AND JEWELLERY

When having the pleasure to host Hamburg’s first “Fine Piercing Party” together with Anita Hass and Juuls Juuls I also got a new piercing myself! Thank you, Juuls Juuls!

The little diamond stud is by Maria Tash (just like the triple diamond stud), the new diamond hoop is by The Last Line (similar here).

CRYSTAL TOOLS

My quartz and crystal obsession was elevated to a whole new level with this quartz water bottle (via Soul Zen), which I absolutely love and which is a daily reminder to keep my thoughts clear (and which hopefully gives me energy as well – at least that is what quartz is said to do).

My favourite beauty tool at the moment is this rose quartz face roller (via Niche Beauty), which is not only very beautiful but also the most relaxing and wonderful thing in the morning! I keep it in the fridge for an extra refreshing face massage. I am obsessed!

BEAUTY FAVOURITES

And speaking of beauty … I had been wanting to try the Foreo face brushes for a while – and ever since I used the Foreo “Luna Mini 2″ for the first time I understand why so many people love this brand. My skin just feels so much cleaner and smoother after I have used the face brush.

Two other discoveries I made: the “Noni Glow” face oil by Kora Organics (via Douglas) and Skinceutical’s “Hydrating B5″ serum (I basically love all their serums!).

I have also been taking two new “inner beauty” supplements: “Daily Biotic Complex” by Ogaenics and “Beauty x Hyaluron” by Ylumi.

Something else that made me very happy: one of my favourite hair care brands ever, Ouai, has created a travel set which contains three of their best products: “Dry Texture Foam”, “Volume Spray” and “Wave Spray” – and it also includes several hair clips to create wavy hair! I have changed a few things about my home: a new rug, new pictures, … and some other little things that help to give my apartment a fresh look.My favourite new additions are the artworks by Ralf Nietmann (you have seen the other one above). 1. CHUNKY TRAINERS

Yes, that trend finally got me, after all. However, I’m really only in love with this specific pair and still do not like ugly sneakers “in general”. Anyway, while participating in a fashion flea market this month, a girl told me about these sneakers by the Korean brand Anna Kastle. I do not usually buy lookalike-products (I think it’s so much better to invest in a few high quality pieces that you really like instead of buying tons of trendy products), but in this case I had to make an exception …

2. FACE CARE

After trying Dr. Barbara Sturm’s “Hyaluronic Ampoules” last year – and absolutely loving them! – and after meeting the woman herself this summer, I was dying to get my hands on more products by Dr. Barbara Sturm. I have been using the “Calming Serum”, which I can really recommend, as well as the amazing Face Cream, which you can combine with the “Sun Drops” for sun protection (a must!). … By the way, I have heard great things about the “Enzyme Cleanser”, too!

At night I have sometimes been using the famous “EGF Serum” by Bioeffect, which is quite rich but also has an amazing anti-aging effect.

When I’ve used up these products I will try the “Serum 10″ by SkinCeuticals, which sounds very promising. Stay tuned!

3. MAKE-UP

If you are still looking for the perfect foundation, buy NARS “Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation” immediately! I am not joking, this is the best foundation I have ever come across. It has a great coverage but still feels very light. I am using the shade “Vienna”. By the way, I am also a huge fan of NARS’ best-selling blush – currently I am using “Orgasm”.

In terms of eye shadow: I finally bought MAC’s “Paint Pot” in the shade “Groundwork”, which is a wonderful everyday “no eyeshadow”-eyeshadow colour. I love it!

And speaking of … My favourite “no lipstick”-lipstick is Charlotte Tilbury’s “Miss Kensington”.

4. HAIR CARE

Maybe you’ve heard or read of Playa: it’s my new haircare obsession! Their “Every Day Shampoo” (via Niche Beauty) smells so heavenly that I am desperately waiting for Playa to bring out a scent! It’s the perfect “beachy” summer scent: coconut and orange blossom (two scents I LOVE!!!) combined with sandalwood and pacific musk. I NEED this as a perfume!!! You hear me, Playa? Furthermore, and before I forget, the shampoo also works very well. It makes my hair look and feel very healthy. A+!

After washing my hair I always brush it with “The No. 1 Brush” by Michael van Clarke (via Niche Beauty). It’s the best hairbrush I have ever used. It easily brushes and detangles my wet hair without breaking it, which isn’t easy to do.

5. NEW JEWELLERY BY OTIUMBERG

You should know by now that I am a huge fan of the London based jewellery brand Otiumberg (and of Rosanna and Christie, the two sisters behind the brand). For one of their new collections they made the most beautiful pendants: little moons, eyes, protective hands and more. And since I couldn’t wait, I got to buy a moon in advance (the collection will launch very soon!). I also treated myself to their “Cool Gradient Ring” a few week ago. Isn’t it magical?

6. AWAY SUITCASE

Since my big suitcase broke on the return flight from Bali (thanks, KLM!), I was looking for a new spacious travel companion. And AWAY was kind enough to send me their “Large Suitcase”. The colour is a limited edition from AWAY’s “Salt&Stone” collection. I cannot wait to travel with it (I am dreaming of a trip to California very soon!). It’s actually very light for its size and there is so much space inside! I also love that it comes with a hidden laundry bag inside (I often forget mine at home). I will show and tell you more when I have travelled with this suitcase.

CERAMIC SHELL BY FRANCES COSTELLOE

I discovered this artist via Lucy Williams’ instagram and fell in love with her ceramic scallop shell at once. As you might know I love decorating my home with sea shells, crystals, corals and the like – and this ceramic shell looks so beautiful as a jewellery tray, doesn’t it?

THE PERFECT DENIM JACKET

It’s incredible how happy it makes me to find the perfect basics, especially denim pieces. This denim jacket, “Alia” by Wood Wood, is certainly one of them, and since I’ve bought it I have pretty much worn it every day.

FACE CARE DISCOVERIES

You know I am a beauty addict – and these are three discoveries that I absolutely have to share with you: MUTI’s “Calm Down Serum” helps to improve stressed skin: it reduces redness and moisturizes the skin.

By Nacht’s “Über glow gel peeling” is an amazing exfoliator, which renews your skin with fruit acids.

And I have discovered a new eye cream: Grown Alchemist’s “Age-repair eye cream” (via Niche Beauty) makes the area around my eyes feel very smooth and nourished and it’s a great base for my eye make-up as well.

COCONUT HAIR CARE

I am obsessed with anything coconut scented – perfume, lip balm, hand cream and especially hair care. I have been using the “Mermaid Hair Shine Spray” for a while (mainly because I love the scent – Haha) and I am now finally trying out the shampoo (via Niche Beauty) as well. The scent is amazing and so far my hair really seems to like this shampoo, too.

Maybe you have seen the Coco & Eve hair mask advertised on Instagram? I admit, these ads totally worked in my case – I was very curious to try out this hair mask which promises to turn brittle hair into glorious, shiny waves (and yes, it, too, has a coconut scent). And, what can I say, this mask actually does make my hair feel very soft, nourished and strong.

HERMÈS BANDANA

One of my favourite types of shopping experiences? Online vintage treasure hunts! … I remember when Hermès launched their silk Bandana scarves in 2014 – I marveled at them at their press event, because I’ve always loved anything Western-themed and because they are such an elegant take on the classic cotton bandana (a staple accessory in my wardrobe). The bandana scarves are not available in stores anymore, but a few weeks ago, I found one of my favourite versions – in blue and navy – online: second-hand but brand new! Yee-haw!

And then May continued to bless us with nothing but sunshine and hot weather which makes Hamburg feel almost like the Mediterranean. It’s incredible! And now June, my favourite month of the year (my birthday month!) is just around the corner and I’m hoping for this run of luck to continue.

SUMMER JEWELS

I am totally in love with Wald Berlin’s new jewellery collection – especially the Kauri shell pieces (but I’m dreaming of getting the “Drop it like it’s hot” necklace, too!). The colourful bead bracelet is by Anni Lu, which is always so amazing when it comes to summer jewellery! The bracelet on the right is a little souvenir I got on Bali.

BEACHWEAR

I am absolutely obsessed with Lucy William’s travel posts (Shoutout to Lucy, I have been following her for years!) and when I saw her wearing this little beach dress by SIR the label I ordered it right away. I also treated myself to a bikini by Hunza G, which looks so pretty underneath this dress. The hair bow scrunchie is by Townhouse Zurich.

SUMMER BAGS

Let’s continue the sartorial celebration of summer! Meet my beautiful new bag by Muun! I actually saw it in a concept store in Zurich but didn’t buy it – and then I was luckily able to order it directly from the brand, because I couldn’t get it out of my head.

The other basket bags in the photo are from Mallorca and Bali. The net bag is by Mango (I currently cannot find it online but maybe it’s still avaible in the stores).

QUARTZ CRYSTALS

My quartz addiction continues. I bought myself a little rainbow quartz on Bali and I found the double terminated quartz (what a name) online (yes, I’m the person who searches for crystals on eBay). Both of them make me so happy for reasons I don’t understand.

“MAGNETIC YOUTH MASK”

When I returned from my Bali holiday, my face was looking so good and my nails were stronger than I’ve ever seen them. But a few weeks back in the daily grind and my face is back to irritations, impurities and tiredness … I am thinking about trying out a Microneedling treatment – do you have any experience with it?

What is definitely helping my face a lot is the “Magnetic Youth Mask” by Magicstripes, which I came across via Instagram. It actually leaves my skin visibly clearer, softer and overall improved. I’m hooked!

BERRY SEASON

One of the reasons why May and June will always be my favourite months and something that never changes: I always feel like a child on Christmas when berry season arrives! This year I even remembered to make a strawberry punch, and I’m making a point of eating berries every day. I also learned that strawberries go very well with green asparagus and that they make a Caprese salad even better. Give it a try!

GUCCI SUPER MINI DIONYSUS & CARRERA SUNGLASSES

Maybe you’ve spotted the above super mini bag by Gucci and sunnies by Carrera in my previous posts. Yes, sometimes (very often) a new special accessory can certainly help to make old outfits feel shiny and new. Especially when you’re feeling the winter blues.

INTERIOR FAVOURITES

I found this photo print of McWay Falls at Big Sur in California via Society6 and I love that it always reminds me of our magical road trip down the Californian coast.

My sister gave me this beautiful quartz when I was feeling low – and even though I’m not really a believer in the healing powers of crystals, it still makes me enormously happy whenever I look at it or touch it. (So, who knows, maybe it has special powers after all …)

FACE CARE FAVOURITES

I’ve already written about By Nacht in November, when I started using their face serum and night cream. And I must say: it honestly feels very nourishing and my skin has been looking a lot better during the last couple of weeks. It comes with a hefty price tag, but it actually works wonders! I’ve been using it with Perricone MD’s “re:firm” eye cream (via Niche Beauty), another product which works super effectively against wrinkles and dry skin. Especially during winter I couldn’t miss a nurturing eye cream!

The “Coconut water face mist” by Herbivore Botanicals had been on my beauty wishlist for ages – I’m a sucker for anything coconut and for face mists! It feels so refreshing! I use it in the morning and after workouts. I found this one via Niche Beauty, too.

A beauty product I have rediscovered: Glov, which removes make-up (even my black liquid eyeliner and the tons of mascara I use) with nothing but water. And all you need to clean it is soap. It’s amazing for travels!

MAKE-UP FAVOURITES

This month, I found the perfect shades of “nude” lipsticks. They’re the matte lipsticks “Miss Kensington” and “Between the sheets” by Charlotte Tilbury. They’re ideal for an everyday make-up look – like my own lip colour but better. It seems like they are sold out online but maybe you can still get them at a Charlotte Tilbury counter.

Two more wonderful everyday products: “Cake by the ocean” by Deborah Lippmann (the best shade of light pink!) and their “Addicted to speed” top coat.

As you might know, I love products which look amazing, have a beautiful packaging and also work really well (looks are nice, but function is even more important). Douglas’ “Pearls Harmony” blush pearls tick both boxes – they’re very pretty and they give your cheeks an amazing healthy glow.

VEGAN HEALTHY ENERGY BALLS

Sometimes I find it very relaxing to spend time in the kitchen and to prepare something delicious and healthy for me. During the last weeks, I’ve tried several recipes for vegan, healthy energy balls (ideal healthy snacks in the afternoon or before workouts!).

I made these almond energy balls, these easy vegan chocolate truffles, and coconut balls by Eat Like Eve. Yummy!

SPARKLING PANDORA RINGS

I’m a huge fan of the newest collection by PANDORA jewellery, which I had the pleasure to see at its press presentation in London. I immediately fell in love with several pieces – I absolutely love the sparkling, festive design of the autumn and winter collection! PANDORA very kindly gifted me my favourites, which I am now wearing every day (they are perfect rings for stacking and mixing with other designs): the “falling star ring” (love at first sight!), the “logo ring” (I love the mix between silver and gold!), and the “sparkling wish ring” (made for ring stacks!). Which one is going on your Christmas wishlist?

SCENTED CANDLES

What I love about autumn and early winter: It’s finally time to light those scented candles again. They’re the kind of luxury that really makes your home so much more cosy and smug – after all, scents play such an important role in our perception and memory, and you immediately feel comfortable in a place that smells nice. My favourite scents for winter: Diptyque “Figuier” and “Noisetier”, Astier de Villatte “Naples” and – my newest addition – Byredo “Incense” (it’s addictive!). … and, no, usually I wouldn’t light all of them at once, it just looked nicer for the photo.

BEAUTY DISCOVERIES

 When it’s getting colder and your skin has to cope with icy temperatures outdoors and dry, heated air indoors, it’s time to indulge in some extra care. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been using sheet masks regularly (they’re so great for travelling!). My favourites are the hydration masks by Dr. Jart (the blue and green one – both feel incredibly refreshing), La Juice, and Annayake (to smooth first lines). All of these are available via Douglas.de.

Currently I am using a very luxurious product, which I was kindly sent to try: the “Hyaluronic Ampoules” by Dr. Barbara Sturm. They come with a hefty price tag, but if you are looking for an effective anti-ageing treatment, you should give these little ampoules a try. They were made to “intensely moisturise and firm the skin” and they actually make your skin feel very refreshed, firm and smooth. I am already dreading the day my supplies come to an end.

Another German beauty brand I have newly discovered: By Nacht, which was only recently launched and which focuses on night care. By Nacht was created with the idea to use the night time to regenerate our skin with highly active ingredients. Since my skin tends to be very dry and in need of care, I am curious to try the serum and the anti-age cream.

And last but not least: a very clever product for litte spots: Avène’s “Cleanance” anti-spot pen, which you can easily keep in your makeup bag and apply whenever a spot occurs. So handy!

GIVENCHY BOOTS

I had been eyeing these Givenchy boots for a while (as usual, I needed some seasons to fall in love with an “it piece” …) and a few weeks ago, when I spotted the last pair in my size (the very common 38) online, I clicked the “order” button, just so I could try them on. I did try them on, absolutely loved them – and decided to return them nonetheless, because I couldn’t justify spending so much money on shoes to myself. … Then, a few days after returning them, I actually found them at Vestiaire Collective, brand new, my size, only slightly less expensive. You can imagine the rest of the story. Welcome my new boots!

RUG AND CUSHIONS BY ON THE RUGS

If you follow my blog you will know that I have been looking for a new rug for my living room forever. I was so unsure wether to get a Beni Ourain in black and white or something completely different and I wasn’t sure where to get it. Now I have found the perfect rug from On The Rugs! This rug label is Hamburg-based and run by the lovely Anna Wahdat. She has an amazing collection of Berber rugs, Kelims and vintage oriental rugs. Mine is a reworked, vintage oriental one in dark blue, black and white. You can see more of it (and the supercool cushions made from old rugs) on the photos below.

NAY PALAD CLUTCH & LALLA BABOUCHE SLIPPER

If I tell you about these products I also have to tell you about the very inspiring women behind them. Carolin Dekeyser is the founder of Nay Palad, a lifestyle brands which creates jewellery, accessories and fashion together with local artisans in the Philippines and Istanbul. On the Philippines she thereby offers jobs and livelihood to women who otherwise would be homeless and unemployed. I have met Carolin and was so enthused by her positive energy. The bag you can see on the above photo is her “Luni clutch” in amethyst – isn’t it beautiful?

Another very creative lady I need to introduce to you is Sarra Turan, who’s an artist with a Turkish-Maroccan background and founder of Lalla Babouche. In her web shop she sells very sweet Babouche slipper from Morocco as well as her own collection of raffia bags. I’m her fan!

STUDIO HAMMEL WALLHANGING

… and talking of creative women: Maybe you’ve heard of Andrea and her label Studio Hammel? Her handmade wallhangings and plant hangers have become very popular among interior design fans. I recently treated myself to a wallhanging with a very beautiful quartz and it makes me so happy whenever I look at it.

MARBLE BEDSIDE TABLES

Okay, like I’ve said, I have been kind of obsessed with changing little things in my home during the last couple of weeks. One night I suddenly felt an urge to get new bedside tables (I had been using old wooden boxes as bedside tables before), and I eventually decided to get little marble ones from a French web shop.
The candle is “Baies” by Diptyque (I love this scent!), the hand cream is by Grown Alchemist, and the vase is by Lyngby.

VETRO LAMP BY MADE.COM

Last but not least I added a new lamp to our living room. It’s the “Vetro lamp” by Made.com, which I had been dreaming of for a while. I think that it looks super cool and almost like a sculpture. It’s also a lamp that actually lights up a room (there are five light bulbs, after all) while still creating a very cosy atmosphere.

PARTY SHOES

While I stroll around in boots, loafers or sneakers most of the time, I actually love an elegant pair of high heels in the evening and I’m always happy for an opportunity to dress up. One of my favourite online destination for party shoes is ASOS – which is where the above golden strap sandals are from. I’ll be wearing them at a wedding soon and I’ll definitely post a photo of my whole outfit then, so you get to see them “in action”. I think I’ll bring the silver sandals as a backup, in case the golden ones feel too high-heeled later during the night.

Since it was my birthday in June (and since I missed this post last month), I have collected a little more than usually.

1. LIGHT BLUE CERAMICS

Obviously my friends and family know me well. I was given a lot of handmade – and beautifully matching! – ceramics for my birthday! My parents gave me two cups by Studio Arhoj, which we bought in Copenhagen in April, and bowls by one of my favourite ceramists. Some of my friends gave me plates by House Doctor, and another friend gave me beautiful little vases. … And when Motel a Mio was having a pop up sale in Hamburg, I snapped up some more plates. Now any meal I’m having looks ready to be photographed for a food blog!

2. BALENCIAGA BAZAR BAG

Here’s a gift I made myself (very important to do that from time to time): the XS “Bazar” bag by Balenciaga. This was a total impulse buy for me, seeing that I really only thought about buying it for a few days before clicking “add to cart”. It works with anything in my wardrobe and makes me think of sailing and poolside parasols, so no regrets at all.

3. LIVING UNDER THE SUN

A secret passion of mine (or not so secret) is architecture – especially mid-century tropical houses (the Sheats-Goldstein-Residence gives me an orgasm every time I look at pictures of it). So, naturally, Gestalten’s “Living under the sun”, is pure architecture porn for me. A book filled with houses which have more glass than concrete walls (or no walls at all), which are surrounded by palm and banana trees and seem entirely integrated into the landscape. Leafing through this book just makes me happy. And, of course, a tropical house will always be on my bucket list.

4. IWONA LUDYGA BRACELET

I’ve written about this Brooklyn-based jewellery designer before: in 2013 I bought her “mini skull bracelet”, which I still own and cherish very much. I do not wear it every day, though, because I worry that the delicate silver bracelet might break (that’s loving something too much, I suppose). When I saw her “Bali mini bracelet with skull” on instagram, it was love at first sight. It’s like a summer version of the skull bracelet – without the risk of breaking a silber bracelet.
The earrings on the photo are birthday gifts by my loving boyfriend.

5. BEAUTY DISCOVERIES

This will be a lengthy one … Soo many amazing beauty disdoveries! Let’s start with Rahua’s “Colorfull” shampoo and conditioner – the new colour care products by the famous natural rainforest brand. I have to say that I was kindly given both products at a press event and that I’ve never used any Rahua products before. But now that I have, I am a fan! It is not just the beautiful, elegant bottles; their content is even more convincing. The shampoo and conditioner leave my hair incredibly soft! I’d like to try more from Rahua. … And talking of colour and soft hair: You may know I am a fan of  a) hair oil b) cool blonde and c) Christophe Robin. Here are two more products by this French genious: the “moisturizing hair oil with lavender” is like an anti-age night cream for your hair. Whereas the “Shade Variation Care Baby Blonde” hair mask protects your cool blonde hair colour. For the perfect beach waves I add Bumble & Bumble’s “Surf Infusion” to my ends and work it in with my hands.

Let’s move from hair to face: I think I’ve already raved about Mario Badescu – and now I need to add another product to the list of magic potions you definitely NEED in your bathroom: the “Vitamin C serum”. It’s a genious anti-aging product you can easily integrate into your beauty routine. Just massage a few drops on your face every other night before applying your night cream. Talking of which, if you have not tried Darphin’s “Aromatic Purifying Balm”, you certainly must do so. Don’t be mislead by the oily texture – it fights imperfections and balances the skin. And feels so nice.

After so many hair and face care products, I need to share something just for the fun of it, too.  If you’re planning a vacation, make sure to pack the following two products: Bobbi Brown’s “Illuminating Bronzing Powder” (I love “Santa Barbara”!) and Bobbi Brown’s “Natural Brow Shaper” (I use “Mahogany”). Basically the only makeup products you need somewhere warm and sunny. And if you want to smell nice, too, pack Tom Ford’s “Neroli Portofino” body spray – it’s so much cooler to use a body spray than perfume during summer, and “Neroli Portofino” practically smells like an Italian holiday!

6. DIAMOND LIGHTNING EAR STUD

Sometimes I have an idea, and I cannot get it out of my head anymore. A few weeks ago this ideé fixe was: “diamond lightning ear stud”. I knew I needed to add one to my “ear party”, absolutely needed to. After an intensive online search, I came across these beautiful micro pavé diamond studs by Emanuel Jewelry Design on Etsy – and bought one right away. When I picked it up at customs a few weeks later and opened the tiny box, I only thought: “it’s perfect!”.

7. ROOMSPRAY BY MARIE STELLA MARIS

It’s true that I love (love!) anything scented. I own more scented candles than is healthy for somebody who does not have a store; and a friend once gave me scented matches, which I consider the ultimate decadence yet absolutely adore! My latest obsession: the room perfume by the wonderful Amsterdam-based people from Marie Stella Maris. It smells so heavenly that whenever I spray it in the air, I just want to dance around the room for a while.

8. SNAPDRAGONS

Maybe you’ve spotted the peonies on the above photos. They’re my favourite flowers and I always get so excited when they start to bloom in June. The summer bouquet of my dreams also contains snapdragons, thistles and anything that blooms on a summer meadow.
